The RoverReleased on 1975's Physical
Graffiti, "The Rover" is another song never completely played during a
Led Zeppelin concert. Rehearsal tapes show that the song was originally an acoustic
number, but then was recorded as an electrified piece at Stargroves studios during the
Houses of the Holy sessions. "The Rover" was then remixed with an added
introductory guitar solo at Headley Grange in 1974. That solo was played as a segue
between "The Song Remains the Same" and "Sick Again" at the beginning
of concerts on the 1977 tour. Unable to resist playing the entire song, The Levee
performs the whole, ultra-heavy piece. Back to the Setlist page |
