Celebration Day             

One of Led Zeppelin's lesser-known songs, this one first appeared in the setlist at the 1971 Copenhagen "preview" concert for the fourth Led Zeppelin album and was played regularly throughout that year.  Dropped in 1972, it became a standard second number in 1973 shows.  Reappearing in 1979 for the Copenhagen warm-ups and the Knebworth Festival shows, it was also performed a few times during the 1995 Page and Plant "Unledded" tour, and in San Diego on the 1998 "Walking Into Clarksdale" tour.  "Celebration Day" was released on Led Zeppelin III, but was almost lost to history.  The tape containing the first few seconds of the track was damaged, and Jimmy Page had to do a clever camouflage job during mixdown to manage the transition from "Friends" to "Celebration Day".  A tale of an average woman befuddled by the insanity of modern life, this track is 100% adrenaline.
