The Wanton Song

Before the 1995 and 1998 Page and Plant
tours, when it was played as a show opener, "The Wanton Song" had been performed
very rarely. It only appeared during the earliest shows of the 1975 tour. Due
to a broken finger, Jimmy Page was unable to play the very arduous "Dazed and
Confused", so "The Wanton Song", "When the Levee Breaks" and
"How Many More Times" were substituted in the setlist to make up the time.
Originally conceived at Headley Grange during the 1973-1974 rehearsals and released on
Physical
Graffiti, this is a pure hormonal rush.
