Over the Hills and Far Away  

Beginning with a bouncy, folksy melody, this track from the 1973 album Houses of the Holy soon descends into a piston-pounding, good-and-sweaty workout.  The Levee performs the extended solo as it was played on the 1973 tour.  "White Summer", Jimmy Page's early Indian raga-style guitar solo, formed the basis of some of the guitar ideas in "Over the Hills and Far Away", which debuted on the 1972 American tour and was played on every tour from then until 1979.  It also made appearances in Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland in 1995.  A celebration of wanderlust and a paean to the open road, this song is a perennial crowd favorite.
