We're Gonna Groove     Coda

"We're Gonna Groove" was originally recorded at Morgan Studios, London on June 25, 1969 just after a short five-day British tour including some BBC appearances, a show at Royal Albert Hall and a performance at the 1969 Bath Festival.  Written by well-known soul artist Ben E. King and his songwriting partner James Bethea, the song was originally scheduled to appear on Led Zeppelin II, but like "Since I've Been Loving You", "We're Gonna Groove" didn't make the lineup of the second Led Zeppelin album.  It was instead used as an exciting opening number on some 1970 tour dates from January through April in the UK and the US.  A famous recording of one of those performances was released on the famous "Mudslide" bootleg of the March 21, 1970 Vancouver concert at Pacific Coliseum.   The track that was released on Coda in 1982 was heavily produced by Jimmy Page at his Sol studios in Plumpton, England.
